Martien and Teressena Bakens were guided to relocate in Hot Springs, Arkansas, in 2001. It was here in the Valley of Peace, surrounded by the healing waters and abundant quartz crystals, that the inspiration for Peace Valley Creations manifested. Martien and Teressena combine their creativity and healing energies to create products that facilitate transformation and inner peace.

Teressena Bakens, a visionary artist and intuitive, is the creatress and illustrator of “The Fifth” Tarot Deck. Much of the imagery in the cards have come through her dreams and meditations. Her drawings for the cards radiate with an energy and light that awakens one’s inner knowing and wisdom of the sacred. In addition to giving Tarot readings, Teressena works as a spiritual midwife, helping people heal and transform through Shamanic ceremony. She facilitates workshops on the Goddess & Divine Feminine and has been a keynote speaker and presenter at several women’s conferences. Her art has been exhibited in the United States, Europe, Canada and Mexico. Most recently she has written her first book, entitled “Peace Moon”, a woman’s journey of the self to the Self. Teressena has a B.F.A. and background in public relations.

Martien Bakens is the author of the manuscript for “The Fifth”. Martien is an energy healer and Aroma therapist. As an Alchemist, he blends oils, herbs, teas, words and people. His intuitive writings offer profound insights into the spiritual laws of the universe, creating a greater understanding of our multidimensional gifts and possibilities. Martien received his formal training in Europe in various holistic healing modalities in both Eastern and Western traditions.

Connecting with the Divine blueprint of PeaceValley and its powerful healing energy, Peace Valley Creations offers a variety of products and services to facilitate in healing and assist on one's spiritual journey. Martien and Teressena have facilitated experiential workshops on Tarot and on Sacred Union in the United States and in Holland. For the past eight years they have led group journeys to the sacred lands of the Olmec and Maya in the Yucatan, Veracruz, Tabasco, Chiapas and Guatemala. Their home in Hot Springs, Arkansas is also the sacred space for Sweat Lodges, Goddess Gatherings, Full Moon circles and the Dream circle.
